As it turns out, Silvestri’s cattle grates are also extremely effective for keeping out deer. This is a wonderful alternative to an automated or manual gate. The bars are stationary and the cylindrical shape adds to the precarious footing. There is no risk of a deer getting stuck in between the bars as they are far enough apart to avoid this.
