Cable Rail installed in Stamford, CT

This Saugatuck style cable rail is located in Stamford, CT. For this
project, the customer wished for stainless steel cable rail to be installed on a deck overlooking a stream. The sleek elegance of the cable rail and mahogany finish gives a modern yet rustic touch to this beautiful area of the customer’s property. The Saugatuck ??? style uses either cedar, mahogany, or ipe wood. Posts are 4” x 4”. The top rails consist of 2” x 4” boards between the posts and a 2” x 6” top rail. All of the fittings and cables are made from 316 stainless steel for superior rust resistance. The cable is 1/8” diameter, and the fittings have a low profile, clean finish. Thin stainless steel cable braces (1/4” X 1”) were used to maximize post spacing to keep the river view open. The overall effect is a striking addition to this Stamford, CT homeowner’s property.
